FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q- Where is my class picture?
A- Most likely your school is getting composites as opposed to group pictures. We don't start composites until after retakes which usually takes another month or so and it will then be mailed to the school. If your school does group pictures you can call us to find out where your picture is.
Q- Will my child be photographed if I do not place an order?
A- Unless your school specifically states that your child will not be photographed without placing an order we will take their picture as a service. When the pictures come in, your child will get a proof with a personalized password in which you can then order online.
- Spring Pre-Pay is a situation where your child will not be photographed if you do not place an order before picture day.
Q- When does the prepay code on the envelope expire?
A- 24 hours after picture day. If you don't prepay you can wait until your proof comes in to order.
Q- Do I have to place an order on picture day?
A- You don't have to place an order ahead of picture day unless it is Spring Pre-Pay. Other than that, you can wait for the proof and order then.
Q- I tried calling and no one has answered the phone. How do I reach someone?
A- If we don't answer, we are most likely at a school on a job. You can email us at tipschpict@aol.com or you can leave a detailed message on the answering machine and we will get back to you ASAP.
Q- How long do you have images in the system for?
A- We keep two years, the current year, and the previous year. You can call for the code if you would like to order or place the order over the phone.
Q- Why can't I only purchase add-ons when I am ordering online?
A- When ordering online, add-ons can only be purchased with a package. We suggest you send in your order with your child the day of if you only want add-ons so we may process that manually.
Q- Why are pictures more expensive after the pre-pay?
A- The prepay orders are printed and processed in bulk so we are able to offer it at a discounted rate.
Q- I sent my child for retakes and I received a last chance to order. Where are my pictures?
A- Most likely your child did not return the original pictures. In order to receive the new pictures, the originals must be returned.
Q- Are Spring Pre-Pay proofs with different poses?
A- No, Spring Pre-Pay is not a proof where you can choose your student's image. It is the same as the fall where you get one image that is pre-selected from the best of what is taken. There are no retakes for spring pictures.
Q- Why are you no longer offering proofs for Spring pictures?
A- Spring pictures have historically been a proof job where every child is photographed and sent a proof with an option to order afterwards. We had to change our business model for Spring Pictures due to poor sales and high overhead costs.
